Asian Beetle Control in Cedarburg, WI
Cedarburg, WI is the home of one of our technicians Todd Hopp who actually graduated from Cedarburg High School in ’98. Cedarburg is actually just a few miles away from Advanced Wildlife Control headquarters in Mequon. Cedarburg is home to many different types of insects, but one particularly troublesome pest is the Asian Lady Beetle.
Asian beetles are oval and convex in shape. They are about 1/4-inch long. Their color is typically orange but can vary from tan to even red. They often have several black spots on the wing covers, although on some beetles there may not be any.
Though Asian lady beetle adult females are prolific egg layers, their reproduction depends on one key ingredient which is prey. Without living prey (such as aphids) Asian lady beetles do not have the protein and/or energy they need to produce eggs. Fortunately, the prey Asian beetle females would need to reproduce are not typically found Cedarburg homes during winter.
