Bumble Bees
APPEARANCE:
Bumble Bees can be up to one inch in length and are yellow and black in color with hairy bodies giving them a fuzzy appearance.

DIET:
They consume honey and nectar like most bees.
NESTS/HIVES:
Most Bumble bee hives are located in ground cavities, but some can be located in wood piles, walls, sheds, crawl spaces or even an occasional attic.
THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The bumble bees will attack to defend their nest, so they are considered a health concern. Mature bumble bees nests contain anywhere from 50-400 bees at any given time. Most home owners stumble upon a nest when mowing the lawn.
