Oriental Cockroach

APPEARANCE:
The Oriental Cockroach is dark brown and is about 1-inch long.

HABITAT:
Oriental Cockroaches are commonly found outdoors; they often enter buildings through sewer pipes, floor drains, and air ducts. They tend to live near the ground and in warm, damp areas.

DIET:
They eat absolutely anything, but often found feeding on garbage, sewage and decaying organic matter.

LIFE CYCLE/REPRODUCTION:
The Cockroach egg capsules contain 16 eggs. The females will produce an average of eight capsules.

TYPES OF DAMAGE/DISEASE:
Due to their large size and slow development, large infestations of these insects are not common within houses. However, during certain times of the year, they may move inside a house from outside. An example, in winter these cockroaches may move indoors, seeking warmer temperatures and food.
