Rodents are a constant problem to homeowners in Wisconsin. There instincts make them difficult to control, and they can present a serious problem in your home. Here ís what you should know about these pests:
RATS
Difficult to control: Rats are instinctively wary of new traps and bait, they tend to
colonize in attics, burrows, under concrete and porches, in wall voids and other
hard to reach places in and around your home.
Disease: The #1 reason for eliminating rats from your home/building is that rats
can harbor and transmit a number of serious diseases. They can also introduce disease-carrying parasites such as fleas, lice and ticks into your home.
Proper Control Methods: Rats have a highly developed taste sensitivity that may
lead to bait rejection if the rodent baits are contaminated with insecticide odors or
other chemicals and are not properly/professional placed.
MICE
Access: Mice will invade your home seeking warmth, housing, water and food.
They can enter through holes in your home that are only 1/4 of an inch wide!
Population Control: One pair of mice can produce 200 offspring in four months!
Disease/Contamination: The USDA has said billions of dollars of damage occurs each year through contamination of food from mice and that doesn't even include residential homes!
